We recommend using the following to sow the seeds:
Keep the seeds in a cool, dark place if not planting right away. When getting ready to plant, pre-soak the seeds in lukewarm water for 24–72 hours (changing the water every 24 hours) to kickstart germination. Place the seeds on their side, half-buried in a very moist, fast-draining medium like coarse perlite, coco coir, or sphagnum moss. You can plant them in a greenhouse, or just in a ziploc baggie (the "moss-in-a-bag" method). Cover with a dome is planting in a greenhouse, or close the baggie for moss-in-a-bag, and leave it in a consistently warm spot (>75°F to 90°F)—using a seedling heat mat is highly recommended or the seeds may not sprout.
These seeds are wonderfully cooperative and typically sprout within 1 to 2 months. Once the root and initial shoot emerge, transplant them into a deep planter, you may not see much growth up top but the roots grow long! Monitor their conditions closely, ensuring the medium stays damp but never waterlogged.
