    Instructions:

We recommend using the following to sow the seeds:

Monstera deliciosa seeds do not store well, so if not planting right away, store in sphagnum moss in a baggie in the fridge to prevent rot and drying out. Germinating fresh seeds is easy and quick, and germination rates vary from 50%-100% depending on setup and freshness of the seeds.

8 out of ten of my seeds sprouted and they are doing incredibly well right now

    Monstera seeds

At 15 days we've got our first baby monstera barely starting to poke out. I did a little bit of digging around and found another seed with some white coming out so I expect to have more babies soon! I also did three in the paper towel method but I think my heat mat burned/cooked them. I probably should have put them in Tupperware instead of a plastic bag right on the mat.

    A mostly pretty good batch!

I received 11 and two were squishy right away. I put 6 in the aerogarden and two in 3 in perlite. In perlite, I'm 2/3 with one rotting and the other two beginning to germinate. In the aerogarden, I have no rots, and about 5 have germinated already. 3/11 were toast pretty early, but I have high hopes for the rest. Packaged really well. I appreciate the care guide. I'll probably grab more. 4/5 stars.

    Fantastic seeds!

I have bought so many seeds from this site. This is Elvis and a bunch of babies I sprouted in May to make him look fuller.
Monstera are some of the easiest plants to grow from seed!
I would also check out hope selloum, ponytail palm, Altissima Ficus if you want some easy ones to start with.
Monstera are one of my favorite plants and I have given away so many as gifts since the germination rate is so fantastic.
They do take some time to sprout, as they note on the information card,be patient.
Elvis will be 2 in November and got his first fenestrated leaf at 7 months.
Do it. Buy them. Be patient and you will be rewarded!

    These were tough to start!

28 days to sprout at which time I had to carefully replant the seedlings so I could have fresh soil that was not induated with algae. Pictures are 45 days after start and with near perfect conditions they are growing slowly but surely. Very rewarding though, and if these pull through they will be beautiful houseplants and the extras will make nice gifts. If I had to do something different I would presoaked the seeds for 24 hours before the greenhouse method.
